About Our Client
Duggans is a well-established and respected business within the construction industry, offering a supportive work environment and a strong focus on both team and individual success. They are seeking a motivated Financial Controller to join their Administration team, reporting to the General Manager and Managing Director.
Your New Duties Will Include
- Ensuring the accuracy of General Ledger processing and reconciling accounts.
- Managing cash flow, including forecasting and daily cash management, to support the company’s financial health.
- Preparing and lodging tax documents (monthly, quarterly, and annually) in compliance with relevant regulations.
- Producing monthly financial statements and assisting with annual budgeting and forecasting for each profit centre.
- Overseeing the company’s administration function, ensuring payroll, invoicing, and debtor payments are managed in a timely manner.
- Working closely with the General Manager to achieve the financial objectives that contribute to the success of Duggans.
- Utilising Greentree General Ledger software and implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency.
What You’ll Bring:
- Tertiary qualifications in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within the construction sector.
- Strong experience across all aspects of the finance function, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Proven cash management skills and a solid understanding of cash flow processes.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software, including email and word processing programs like Outlook.
- Exceptional interpersonal communication skills and a professional demeanour that aligns with Duggans’ values of integrity and teamwork.
