True Craft is a home builder based in Glenbrook and specialises in new builds, renovations, extensions, granny flats and decks & pergolas. We are currently looking for a full time carpenter, reporting to the CEO, who has:

Extensive experience in building and construction, including the ability to meticulously finish jobs,
Excellent time management and leadership skills,
Business management skills,
Verbal communication skills,
Good initiative and logical thinking skills.

Specific Requirements for the role:

Where required (eg if the Lead Builder is off-site) liaising with clients and architects over progress and compliance to drawings,
Undertaking all carpentry related work, including demolition, scaffold assembly, building formwork, framing and installation of decks, windows, wall linings, flooring, skylights, awnings, architraves and skirtings.
Performing day to day problem solving and dealing with any issues that arise,
Working on-site in all weathers. This may entail work-arounds / changes in work duties to ensure work continues.
Monitoring and reporting on progress in areas such as project progress and compliance against designs and drawings,
Overseeing the work of contract workers and subcontractors,
Buying materials for each phase of the project,
Implementing Safe Work Standards in accordance with True Craft Safe Work procedures,
Conducting quality and safety inspections.

Other Requirements:

Travel: The applicant must have an unrestricted or P1 / P2 drivers licence and own reliable transport able to carry tools and pick up building materials (eg ute). Although most work will be located in the lower Blue Mountains, the applicant must also be willing to travel to various locations across greater Sydney when required.
Tool Kit: Possess and suitable tool kit,
White Card: Possess a NSW OH&S General Induction (White Card).

A three-month Probationary Period will apply to this role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $45.00 per hour
