Kilmac Civil, a well-established civil construction business with over six years plus of operation in Sydney, is currently in search of an adept CivilEngineer/ Estimator to join our expanding team.

The Role:

Great opportunity for an Estimator/SiteEngineer/Projectengineer, or Project manager looking to advance into estimating role within a growing company. You will manage your own tenders with the potential to grow into the Senior Position over the time.

Primary Responsibilities:

Estimation and Cost Analysis:

Create and deliver detailed, high -quality tender proposals.
Thoroughly analyse project plans, specifications, and requirements to formulate precise cost estimates.
Leverage estimating software and industry expertise to craft competitive pricing.
Evaluate factors including labor, materials, equipment, permits, regulations, and potential risks in the first principal estimation.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Bid Preparation and Strategy:

Collaborate closely with internal teams to develop comprehensive and compelling bid proposals.
Formulate bid strategies aimed at maximizing the company's competitiveness.
Actively engage in bid decision-making processes, including bid/no-bid evaluations.

Vendor and Subcontractor Coordination:

Work closely with subcontractors and suppliers to gather pricing and quotes for projects.
Negotiate and oversee subcontractor contracts, ensuring favourable terms.
Evaluate subcontractor and supplier performance and cost-effectiveness.

Qualifications & Experience:

Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering, or Project management.
Management/Built Environment, or equivalent robust trade experience.
Strong comprehension of civil infrastructure works, engineering drawings, and specifications.
Keen attention to detail.
Demonstrated track record of minimum 3-5years plus in civil industry or similar first principal estimating experience is ideal.
