About the Role

Our pursuit of excellence in areas such as Finance, Legal, Communications, HR and Governance plays a crucial role in supporting the Agency’s overall mission. Your skills and expertise can contribute significantly to this mission, enhancing our operations and ultimately supporting the pursuit of excellence in digital health.
As a Project Manager in the Security & Facilities team, you will report directly to the Director of Facilities and Security Services. This role will ensure the successful delivery of complex property and security-related projects and requires a high level of engagement and relationship management with stakeholders both internal and external to the Agency.
In this role, you will coordinate the delivery of project milestones with internal stakeholders, facilitating discussions to understand the impact on project delivery and effectively communicating information to employees at all levels. You will undertake specialised project management tasks and business-as-usual service delivery that impact the strategic and operational outcomes for the agency.
Key responsibilities include leading the Agency’s accommodation uplift projects across its Canberra, Sydney, and Brisbane office locations. You will also support the Agency’s program of work relating to protective security and coordinate broader business-as-usual tasks related to the administrative functions of the Facilities and Security team. Additionally, you will manage all projects across both Facilities and Security teams, acting in a chief of staff capacity to ensure cohesive project execution.
This position is crucial for driving the Agency’s strategic initiatives in facilities management and security, making it an exciting opportunity for a proactive leader with a passion for project management.
What You’ll Bring
We are looking for a dynamic and adaptable individual who can manage multiple projects and priorities with ease. Your ability to pivot between concurrent projects and activities will be crucial in this role. You will have demonstrated experience in managing integrated project schedules, aligning dependencies and deliverables, tracking progress, and minimising project risk.
Your role will also involve assisting with the management of Agency procurement, contracts, and finance requirements. Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential, as you will assist in the preparation of agendas, papers, and reports. Being highly organised with a sound knowledge of project management fundamentals is key, as is your ability to work seamlessly across both Facilities and Security teams.
While government experience is a plus, it is not a necessity. What we value most is your attitude and ability to be a team player. We are looking for someone who is mission-focused and can bring a positive and collaborative spirit to our team.
Importantly, we do not require any formal project management certifications or qualifications. We need someone who is organised and has practical experience in managing projects. There is also the possibility for this role to become permanent, so we are looking for someone who is committed and ready to grow with us.
Eligibility
- Ability to obtain and maintain national police check.
- Australian Citizenship is a condition of eligibility.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 1 security clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a higher clearance if required by the Agency.

Salary: This role offers between$116,075 - $132,386 plus 15.4% superannuation depending on skills and experience.
